ABOUT THIS POSITION

Assignments may include but are not limited to:
• Servicing customers lawns with accuracy and attention to detail.

• Utilize knowledge of lawn maintenance to know the appropriate length of lawn height.

• Lead teams and direct staff using string trimmers.

• Make recommendations to management on what additional services the customer may need like bed care, weeding, fertilizer, etc.

• Helping keep equipment in good shape and having a good understanding of how machine works.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 2 years of proven experience in similar position
• Mechanical knowledge a plus

• Will help during snow season either driving plow or salting

OVERALL SUMMARY

Design Works is seeking an experienced Hardscape Crew Leader and lover of the outdoors to work collaboratively with our Outdoor Living Team and Landscape Maintenance Teams. The Crew Leader will provide hands-on work, teaching support, and will manage field-team members to convert creative design pieces into built work.

The successful candidate will be relied on to build patios, walkways, and walls, outdoor kitchens, steps, etc. You will be collaborating with our Project Manager, Site Preparation/Grading Crew and our Planting Crew to work together to complete full projects.

Design Works is seeking an experienced gardener, knowledgeable plant specialist, and lover of the outdoors to work collaboratively with our Outdoor Living and Maintenance Teams.  The Crew Leader will provide hands-on work, teaching support, and will manage field-team members to convert creative planting design pieces into beautiful built gardens. 

The successful candidate will be relied on to install professionally designed planting plans, including trees, shrubs, flowers, mulch, sod, loam, lawns and lighting around residential patios, pools, and home elevations.  You will be collaborating with our Landscape Architects, Project Manager, site and hardscape crews to work together to complete full projects.

Design Works is seeking an experienced and licensed fertilizer/pesticide professional to work collaboratively with our Landscape Grounds Maintenance Team.  The Lawn Care Manager will be responsible for managing lawn care applications, applying controlled materials, diagnostics, and customer service.  The manager will provide hands-on-work, teaching support, and will manage field-team members to maintain our residential clients’ properties.   This position requires a NH State Pesticide Applicator’s License.

ABOUT THIS POSITION

Assignments may include but are not limited to:
• Work with account manager to manage daily labor and materials
• Thoroughly understand scope of work, products, product label instructions, schedule and safety procedures for lawn and pest control
• Proactive preparation of resources and time
• Direct and work with project team to apply fertilizers and pesticides to lawns
• Diagnose and address lawn problems such as diseases, insect damage, and any other abnormalities with a lawn or site
• Perform seeding, aeration, over-seeding, and major turf care renovations
• Work with customers to ensure their expectations are being met.  Respond to calls/site visits.
• Identify additional opportunities for clients’ site improvements and new business
• Coordinate completion of daily duties
• Documentation of employee time sheets and site reports
• Snow help during the winter season
• Other duties as needed

Design Works Landscaping is a landscape architecture firm that serves a luxury client base in the southern NH and northern MA area. We are looking for someone who is an experienced foreman in the landscape construction realm with a strong understanding of hardscaping, site planning and management.

This position is full time and year round, with plenty of overtime in busy season (spring-fall) and dependent on weather, snow season too.

Job Requirements:

  • 3 years construction or landscape experience
  • Hardscape experience and operating equipment
  • Proficiency in construction methods
  • Confidently displays knowledge of grading, drainage, measurements, reading and translating plans, etc.
  • Happy to train, motivate, and lead a team
  • Can work with project manager to manage daily labor and materials
  • Dependable, hard working, and keeps things moving.
  • Loves to work outdoors and enjoys physical work.
  • Can complete projects in a timely manner and follow our quality standards
